SATA to Molex possible?

Hi, I need some advice here.
I just bought a HP desktop.
Decided to buy an additional sound card - Asus Sonar Essence STX.
When I tried to install it, I realised that I need to connect a 4-pin (molex?) power supply to the sound card. But I realised there was no molex connector in my computer at all!

Can someone help me verify that
(1) This is a SATA connector from my PSU (there's another end connected to my CD reader)

(2) This is a molex power supply input socket (located on the sound card)

(3) All I need to do is to purchase an adapter to connect the SATA connector to the molex power supply?

Or do I need to change the entire power supply unit (argh??!!)

also, is the computer new?, u have voided the warranty by opening the case, i think there is a sticker steal on the case. so once you open the steal is broken that is how they know have opened the case

Yeah it's a brand new computer. But the computer was already opened when the sellers threw in a free RAM upgrade. They assured me that the warranty is still valid for the computer parts that was part of the original setup.

The adapter does not look correct, because it converts from molex into sata type connector. What you need is the reverse.

Maybe you can checkout SLS shop on level 6 that sells a lot of the PC cables. Ask for the SATA male to Molex female power cable.

Alternatively, if your existing devices hdd, dvd use the molex type connector, you can get a splitter cable with 2 molex connectors to connect to both the sound card and the device.

No voltage issue because the SATA power cable provides all the voltage types in the molex. However, the reverse is not true when you convert molex to sata. e.g. 3.3V. refer to Serial ATA - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Just to close this, I went back to the shop I bought this from (Bizgram) and told them about my problem. They got the cable from next door for me. Good for service. But of course they marked it up before charging me.

Long story short, the converter can be found on the 5th and 6th floor cable shops. It's not available on the 2nd/3rd floor cable shop.
