now the economy lagging... just to share a tip on money saving... for expensive items like milk powder, diapers, beer, better check website before making purchase. sometimes ntuc, sheng siong got promo, can save quite a sum of money

see the milk powder and tiger beer got few dollar difference.

jb milk powder comes from thailand. but if you are buying abbot, it is just as expensive as sg.

sg milk powder comes from all over.

my kid can taste the difference. they dont want jb milk. i have to mix jb with sg milk powder and bluff my kids so as not to waste.

for abbot, is it enfalac? i thought taste about the same as enfagrow in sg.

difference about 30 to 40%. if you go to those malls like Jusco, you will see people sweeping 6 tins at one go... then you know he's a Singaporean...

but it's cheaper to buy jb milk powder at chinese medicine shop, they sell at cost price to entice you to come and buy their high-margin tonic.

abbot makes similan, gain and grow. enfa is by mead johnson. my kids drinks enfa, they simply refused jb milk. now they are bigger. they can tell the difference. if you notice, enfa has original and honey flavor in jb.

last time my malaysia grocery bill came up to 500 to 600 rm per trip. the counter supervisor got a shock when she saw my bill and thought that there was an error. i was shopping further up north, not many sg people at the area.

in sg, enfa is made in holland

in jb, enfa is made in thailand

that is why it is so cheap there.

but i dont believe there are problems with jb milk powder.

if you notice jb milk is kept under lock and keys in supermarket. would anyone put worthless potato chips under lock and keys?

if jb milk got problem, then all jb babies die already.

I also go JB sometimes to buy milk powder. Can save about S$30 per 1.8kg can. My 6 year old boy does not seem to mind the taste difference.

abbott have their plant in tuas. got friend working there. one of the reasons why their milk powder is always the most expensive.
