Save money using cashless payment

Singapore is doing catch-up with the more advanced China cities who are far ahead in cashless payment.

I make it a point to ask hawkers if I can use NETS when they display the sign, so far 0/15 stores let me use it. Some school canteens, from what I heard, have a KPI and actually prefer to use NETS.

I still prefer cash. Nets/credit card terminal may encounter technical problem. It is cheaper to use cash if paying for groceries at supermarkets. I notice supermarkets waive off a few cents for example $15.74 to $15.70 if paying by cash. If using card to pay, they will not waive off a few cents and deduct the full amount.
You save that few cents while you can actually earn 10x more with the same amount paid by credit card
