How does this work?
There is a thread for this HSBC stuff a super long thread and you need to fulfill a few criteria. I read the thread sometimes you thought you finish all criteria but still not get the interest so you need to chase the bank. This is what I don't like. Like a beggar go beg monies from bank why I do all you ask you never give me my interest. But for some ppl the high interest justify the effort so you can go and take a look at that thread.
Then too much hassle imo. Too complicated is a problem.
Can you tell me how you arrive at 1.68%?

Thanks for the new url now yes it is indeed 1.68% for 50K. Criteria need a child below 12 years. Those who have can consider this as it is very much better than the POSBKids account.
Some reader told me it is not local banks are lousy it is because they got a lot of cash so no need to take more cash from us. They more interested to loan monies out to ppl for business, property etc instead. So solution is very simple you just take your cash and give other foreign banks instead.
Yeap, DBS/POSB all got plenty of cash ....their saving interest rate is low ...
