Took a look at their page and I am very wary when terms like "expertly managed" or "expert-guided" are used. It's a marketing language that doesn't say anything about the investment strategy and seems to give a lot of liberty to the fund manager to make substantial changes to the portfolio that may not align with your preference.

I also don't understand why they need 7 ETFs that are maybe 90-99% correlated to track one market.

Their "opportunistic" portion of the portfolio, which makes up only 3% of the entire portfolio, makes no sense to me also. It's literally too small to for u to feel their impact.

In fact, i think u could use jus 4-5 ETFs/funds and re-create something that is more or less the same as the 29-funds "expertly-guided" portfolio by SC. I think the only reason they use so many funds is to overly-complicate the portfolio to makes u think their fund manager is making a lot of "effort" to curate this portfolio.

the only good thing i can say about it is that it's fee is probably one of the more reasonable ones, compared to some of the investment products offered by other banks. but u can definitely find a better deal if u check out some of the robo-advisors or if u learn to DIY.

0.95% "management fee" (which probably doesn't include fund TER) means that the yield could be better by ~25% for DIY after 30 years:

here's my input having invested for past 2 months ( Cash PLus and Income ) :

- super slow in crediting Dividend .. up to T+5 ?

- Ex Div date varies, not always 1st of the following month, even if the 1st is a business day ( eg 1 Sep 2025, Mon .. but Ex Div date is 2 Sep 2025 )

- super slow in updating prices .. seems to update around 8.30pm SG time ? usually T+2, but Thurs n Fri may take longer

- some days, price is not even published ( eg 1 Sep 2025 no published prices ) ... no reason given

- when u sell, u only know the Selling Price 2 biz days later

- latest prices shown in App, but Portfolio Value not updated until later ( annoying )

- CashPlus portfolio seems directly correlated to USD/SGD FX movements .. with little or no hedging involved ( yes, underlying mostly USD MM instruments )

- for historical prices, can google from Financial Times

being in-house portfolios, guess they do what they do or dont

if anyone have insights for the above observations, pls share

Thanks for sharing your observations man. You just confirmed my suspicion on the dividend part. I have yet to receive the payout for August.

Where did you find out the dividend history? I tried searching online but to no avail...

There's a very clear pattern that the bank roboadvisor products are far inferior than the roboadvisor pure play.

The total cost is high, they have tie-ups with fund managers that seem to benefit than more than their users, and there is consistent underinvestment in the tech user interface.

At least its clear to me that the pure play roboadvisor that I use have improved leaps and bounds, but digiportfolio, OCBC robot invest, and even newer players like SC have failed to innovate or even emulate the competition.

If you want to eat the best of a specific dish, it's better to go to a stall that specialises rather than go a restaurant that has 200 items in their menu. The bank robos seems like the generic restaurant that has 200 items and can't care to master any of them.

Problem with SC Invest is there lack of support. General hotline and trading hotline unable to support. They say have to go to RM and those non-priority with no RM go to branch.

Can't believe such a big bank can introduce features or products without providing adequate support.

At this point it's naive to expect better service level than the robo pure play la. Digiportfolio etc all have complaints plastered all over Reddit and hwz. The banks want you to invest through the RMs not true lower revenue robo offerings

I went Vivo there's no one there to help either. Was referred to RM but RM did what he did. Will only "help" if I buy from him on the spot and let him earn commission. When I turn the "help" down, I'm back to square 1 ownself help ownself 😂 RM said there's nothing he could do to "help".

I always get "surveys" to assess RM but did not reply because I did not seek help from RM.

Yours quite unethical. Only interested to earn commission. 😡

I am not priority client so I don't have RM. That's why I went to the branch after unable to get help over the phone as they don't have any dept that can help for UT.

Apparently for UT, cs over the phone told me there's no dept they can transfer my call to.
No choice I make a trip to the branch. Over there, no one can assist me so i was referred to an RM seeking for his favor in hope he can answer my question about why I can't set my UT account up. But he could not help unless I buy UT from him on the spot.

I ended up go home and figure myself out of this. That's why I didn't touch their UT after such an experience.
