Hi, new member here with limited experience. I have just recently sent my acer laptop a repairman(not from retail shops). The laptop was fixed but he took away my power adapter and gave me another one saying it was a "gift". Is this a scam?

If the adaptor is fine, why does it need to be replaced, FOC or otherwise?

Not really scam. just lack of communication. you can demand back your original adapter back.

OEM adapter is around 15~30. branded adapter is around 30~50
