Need a little help on what to do or how many cycles I have left.
I ORD-ed from SCDF in 2006 and entered an SCDF unit for reservist in 2007. They called me up every year except for 2010 whereby the unit was disbanded. I was called up again in 2011 and have been called up every year including this year.
If I count the number of years I have served (excluding 2010 where my previous unit disbanded), I have attended 9 reservist cycles. 2 or 3 years ago, I asked the officer if the reservist cycles I attended before the unit disbanded, counted to my total number of years. She mentioned that they can call us up, up to 15 years, and that I have to ROD with my unit.
Is this true? This hardly seems fair given their indecisiveness to commit people to a unit and I have to serve more than the standard 10 cycles?
Is there anyone who knows what I should do or who I should contact?
