So what do they go through or how do they get those badges?

go through the relevant training course and pass, to be certified in that vocation and get the badge

Dart is the hardest , not just physical but mental ..
the amount of rescue technique they have to learn,
Ropes, rescue tools..
Only crazy people will take on the job
their course is comparable to NDU except without gun and outfield..
their training is same like ndu ( they are divers too )

Seems like not much knowledge about SCDF. DART is the most well known, there is videos about it. But the others? Paracounsellor Badge? Trauma Paramedic Tab? Marine Tab? What kind of course must they go through to earn those? Any videos?

Seems like not much knowledge about SCDF. DART is the most well known, there is videos about it. But the others? Paracounsellor Badge? Trauma Paramedic Tab? Marine Tab? What kind of course must they go through to earn those? Any videos?

trauma paramedic must go through BA maze with full BA apparatus and do their basic medical certification with mask and everything on for wounds such as broken limbs, followed by crawling through the ruined tunnels known as confined space and doing their advanced certification dealing with wounds like piercing wound

I believe 2nd hardest is USAR , 3rd marine
Usar have their own bunker gear and badge , mainly for oversea mission, tsunami earthquake and humanitrian assistance , annual certification done by oversea country to certify capability.
Only activated if oversea country request for assistance, activate within afew hours , once clearance done , set off
Marine have to go through fire fighting course which they already trained for and ship fire fighting course which is also difficult because normally ship space constrain, darkness, technique of rescue is different from normal building,basement fire .
Normally dart will be the one going in to rescue during ship firefighting ,
Anything that requires rescue in underwater,height,underground,building collapse etc etc , not fire fighters

Interesting...Realize there really isn't much info about SCDF. There is so much hype on police and SAF but not SCDF.
