Just saw this fund which is only available through DBS. Personally i think it looks not bad, as there are 3 kind of asset class to choose from. But would like to get more opinions here first. What do you guys think?

Any other information? Not enough to make an evaluation.

oops I checked the wrong place, price 1.013 now

Ya initial price is at $1. So sure will earn money. Schroder has been doing quite well in their other funds, as i am not afraid.

The 5% per annum payout class looks good, similar as a dividend fund.

different fund, different manager.

if you think schroder is so good, you are better off investing in their top-performing funds like Schroder Asian growth (AUM $1.4bn) because their star fund manager is helming the billion dollar funds.

there's no guarantee that their star fund managers, who are busy managing the star funds, got time to manage this sort of new fund, in fact there is a chance that it might be their 'P-plate' fund managers who are being tested out.

Thats why i say, do invest in fund with no track record if you feel lucky

More+ underperformed the Asia Ex-Jpn ETF terribly while Asian Growth is just managing to keep up. Actually, More+ seems to be one of the worst performing Asia funds.

Like I said, their Star Fund Manager is managing Asian Growth with billion dollar AUM. Going for new fund with no track record is just gambling, but what are the chances that a new fund manager will beat Schroder's superstar manager?

You're comparing apple and orange.

Schroder Asia More+ is a balanced fund (it contains equity + fixed income), the rest of funds you're comparing to are equity funds.

Balanced fund will suit certain type of investors

There is an initial charge of 5%. Will this be deducted while allocating the units when we buy everytime?

Sales charge depend on which platform you use. Buy on FSM, dollardex, POEMS no sales charge at all.
