Nearly 700 foreigners, including Pakistanis, have fled Myanmar and crossed into Thailand, the Thai army said on Thursday, following a military operation against the Chinese-backed KK Park, a notorious cybercrime compound.

Thailand has detained 677 people, including 618 men and 59 women, after they crossed the border into Tak province, it said in a statement.

Myanmar’s military has taken control of KK Park and is inspecting the area, driving a large number of people into Thailand, the statement said.

Why they want to zao? Lack of trust for the authorities in Myanmar? Or they're the willing scammers?

Don't look like Chinese and Korean victims leh.

The whole episode also looks weird, few thousand people ran and they have no idea where they go to.

If these are the thugs in the scam compound, the mastermind won't let them cross and leak the info where they ran. They could have ran further into the country than cross border.

If it's those victims, also don't look like it. They look more like from Myanmar.

most tio lured in by good paying jobs not really scammers by will
Honestly, think if a place more jialat than the place they came from promise of better opportunity, for people with decent intellect and not too much greed, should be able to see that its either a scam or something illegal. Either way its not going to end well for them. :s22:

Maybe the info of the raid came too suddenly that they are not able to control it and some manage to run off
