any taken scoot to Japan? Any review?
For scoot there is transit at Taipei. like to ask, as the plane leave singapore at 12.45am and reach taipei at 5.30am and from taipei, it fly to narita at 6.35am. hence there just a short time of 1 hour on the transit. like to ask what happen if there is delay in the flight from singapore? say we reached taipei at 6.30am instead of 5.30am, will the flight to narita wait for us or we need to wait for the next available flight from taipei to narita. thanks

Took Scoot to narita last Dec. Same plane, the 1 hr lay over is just nice for your to disembark, go through the transit procedure and wait at the gate 30min or less before take off to narita. Sufficient time for you to go toilets. You have to disembark with your hand carry luggage.

If reach 1hr late u will fly 1hr late. Happened on my return leg because tpe Only had one runway opened

you just have to bring your carry on with u, take the transit card, then proceed to the boarding gate to wait for the next flight. there will be people ushering you

yes like others says, there will be ground crew to assist you. Look out for them and don't follow blindly to those that going TPE as their destination. My time the crew were from EVA(i think) and they will issue you transit cards and give you some direction. You will use back the same boarding pass that you have form SIN.

Nope. I barely had time to buy a sandwich. I bought, went to the boarding area finished a sandwich damn quickly and people were boarding by then already.

At 5.30am the shops are mostly closed.

Disembarking the plane and going through transit counter is going to take about 15min.
However I had time for a quick breakfast at one of the food court, probably 15 min max, before I had to rush back to the plane.

Well, transit duration of this length is actually common but just because it's budget, no food so sure hungry one. I thought I whacked a good dinner and supper before flying can last till I reach NRT. End up I buay tong on the plane from TPE to NRT and had to buy a lousy beef wrap which wasn't even warmed up. But scoot timing is really not bad la considering you arrive there before 12pm still.

Dec MH 2 Adults 1Child cost 1.8k leh.

I would suggest to have some Taiwanese currency coins so you can buy some drinks or bottled water from the vending machine at TaoYuan Airport. For my previous trip, we had McDonalds before our flight, then we packed some bread rolls/snacks and during transit, we just a bit of time at the waiting area and we bought some drinks from the vending machine and ate our bread.

Honestly, I think Scoot food menu really need to be more appetising! And gosh, and I think they had a menu change in mid Feb or something and the food selection is even worse!

The food on Scoot sucks. For the budget traveller, bring empty water bottles and fill up in the waiting area. Bring your own food on board to eat, they dun care. At tpe, you can refill water from their water cooler machine (got hot water too! Much better than Changi). I had time to eat a full meal at tpe on the way back. Not too bad.

Totally agree.The chicken meal that cost $12 is like the size of my palm and it took like 2h+ into the flight for me to even order.
