Screen display turns blank

My PC is connected to my Sony Bravia TV via HDMI. Recently the screen will suddenly become blank although the background music is still running.

Now when I turn on my PC, the display often goes blank but I can still hear the sound played in Windows login screen. I have tried with the VGA cable and it still shows blank screen.

Previously the screen goes blank every 10 secs until I changed a new HDMI cable and the issue sort of goes away.

Any idea what is the problem? Thanks a lot

Could possibly be your graphics card, what graphics are you using?

It should be a Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 7850

Try the other HDMI port on your TV?

Does your TV have DVI port?

It doesn't have a dvi port but it has a VGA port. I tried connecting dvi to VGA and it's still the same.
I tried with another hdmi port on my tv and it's still the same.

I found out that if I press the reset button and then force shut down by pressing the power button. The next time I turn it on, the display is able to show. So is the graphics card faulty?
