Hey guys,

Have been happening for quite awhile, maybe months already. The top left hand corner of my screen have been flickering occassionally. Sometimes not at all. It measures about 2cm x 3cm. Can just happen when I'm browsing the internet on google chrome. I feel it happens only when I open too many tabs or something. But once i restart, its fine.

Tried to screenshot when it happened, but the screenshot does not show the glitchy portion. Had to use my phone to snap a photo of it.

The photo shows the right click menu on the desktop, but when on the browser, the squares are usually black, greyish, white instead.

Not sure why tinypic rotated my picture, but you get the idea. The glitch is the one in the middle.

Anyone knows what is the problem? Graphics card, monitor, cable loose? :s11:

Try one by one to isolate, starting with cheapest fix.

I doubt it is GPU or cable as previously when I had issues with these 2, on a prebuilt Acer, it was the PCIE lane that had been bent and the HDMI port that sagged. What I experienced was this purple green horizontal lines appearing throughout the screen distorting my desktop and other applications alike. I later found out that these were called artifacts. Only issue I have yet to experience would be the monitor issues so I guess u could start with there? Do u have any spare computer laptop or phone that can be plugged in to test? If problem persist then u may strike off the possibility of the computer being the cause.

Thanks for the input guys. Unfortunately my spare monitor went dead like 3 months ago. Guess I have to source around!
