SD Card Read/Write Speed on MBA 2013

Hi guys,

Any of u guys know whats the max read and write speed on the MBA?

Theoretically speaking, it is 5GB/sec. Source here

However, on AnadTech, it said "Max performance of the reader appears to be capped at 40MB/s" Source here

Does that mean I would be better off buying a SD card that has speeds of 48mb/s from Samsung? Any advice?
