What to look out for when buying second hand Pc? As well as what would be the norm fair value discount for a second hand Pc?

Can I just connect my primary boot up ssd with os to the new rig and will it be usable with the os installed?

Depends on your needs.

Let me see...rough estimation on market prices for a used decent specd PC.

P67 mobo+i5-2500k ~ $260
8GB ram ~ $80
Case ~ $40
520w seasonic PSU ~ $50
AMD Radeon HD5870 ~ $100
500gb HDD ~ $40

$570 total lor.

Throw in your SSD, configure in bios can start using alr.

remember, "lightly used" amd cards without warranty are usually used in mining rigs and at 100% load 24/7.

"lightly used" AMD(ATI) graphics cards without warranty.
how do you know lightly used amd cards are used to mine? and why do they not have warranty? is it because warranty expired, or because mining voids warranty?

its really difficult talking to you... Without warranty = warranty end. "Lightly used" is just a term they say to make buyers think they are getting a good deal. How do u know how they have been using it? Good chance they used it for a mining rig. "how do you know lightly used amd cards are used to mine?" Because they are AMD cards.

i was trying to establish the link between lightly used without warranty = mining.

so what you just did was listed the possibility that most amd cards are used to mine.
