Hi Guys,

Recently I had used up my harddisk space. Initially, I had brought a small space storage and i thought it was enough for my work. Lately, the storage had been used up and I am thinking of buying a second storage.

Therefore my question is: If i am to buy a second internal HDD, the installation would just be wiring it up and activate the harddisk in the disk management only? There is no need for reformatting right?

You will need to initialize the disk, select between GPT and MBR and then perform a quick format on it in order for it to be used.

Most external hard drives come pre-formatted, however if you bought "just an internal drive", it almost certainly will have to be initialized and formatted.

All the best!
