Unsecured. And i choose the pre-set lowest amount $2000 credit limit. Is this a Secured Credit Card for Amex?
I was a bankrupt before, but 2mths after annulment I applied for SCB secured card with 10k. They approved it and after about 8 mths of using the card and paying everything on time, they just approved me for a private home purchase of 850k. And this just happened last year. so maybe SCB is a good try. UOB, OCBC all rejected me. my current credit score is still HX. haha god knows how the system worksUnsecured. HX means your bankruptcy record is still on file, SCB is doing you good based on your relationship with them. I wonder though if it does affect the interest rates or fees that they offer you.I was a bankrupt before, but 2mths after annulment I applied for SCB secured card with 10k. Now banks are very cautious in giving secured credit card approvals, even if it is fully secured by FD. I have an existing secured credit with OCBC for one year, and payment has been prompt with no late or finance fees.. I tried to apply for additional OCBC secured card sharing the same credit limit and they just outright rejected. Tried appealing for a review and was declined straightaway too.I open a fix deposit and put $10k in Maybank to open a Secured Credit Card for just $3k credit and got REJECTED. My Credit Report score is GX. Any other advice here? I
With 10K fixed deposit also wont get approval by Maybank. I give up already.
Give it a try on unsecured card bah… but chances for u not high… cos ur credit report has indicated which bank enquire your report for “secured credit card facilities”.Fully Agree rejection are by their AI.
From what I hear from other banks, it should be one card for every 10k fixed deposit.I have an existing secured credit with OCBC for one year, and payment has been prompt with no late or finance fees.. Yes. But for OCBC, I have checked with them and they have clarified that they do allow customers to hold multiple secured cards sharing the same limit. Was wondering for banks that allow only one card, can you substitute the existing card with another card (that is, cancel existing Card A and approve Card B from the same bank) with approval? From what I hear from other banks, it should be one card for every 10k fixed deposit.
Annulment means the bankruptcy is not on file anymore. I did a personal insolvency search and record says NIL. but I guess banks have their own records nonetheless. DBS also gave me a secured cc pretty easily. I got the 0.8+ 3M SORA for first two years which is pretty good (0.93%). but CBS did tell me it'll take 3 years for the HX score to reset, so I'm counting down to August 2023. At least I managed to get a home loan so I'm not complaining hahaHX means your bankruptcy record is still on file, SCB is doing you good based on your relationship with them.
