Dear Dragon, it's been a few days since my PMs to you about the race/religion insulting posts, your "assurance" that it will be dealt with by the admin team, and a prompt closure of my thread to prevent further discussion.


And nothing done so far, evidently. If even a fraction of the posts reported were dealt with like you promised they would have earned enough infractions to be temporarily banned.

Yet I still see the same people still here freely posting seditious comments like the law doesnt apply to them.

While someone reports another user by the name of Pikafunk on insults on another thread, instant action!

Why the discrepancy?

Way to go, Dragon. Good thing for them you are the moderator, not I.

While I like your vigilance, I do not appreciate your tone towards Dragon. Firstly, he is not an EDMW moderator. So he will not be aware of any reports made. The EDMW moderating will take action on those reports.

He answered the thread just to clarify. You were told to report posts that you felt were inflammatory. But you didn't report even one.

Please save your indignation for someone who deserves it.

Let's take a look at 3 different quotes.

Do Muslims and Christians pray to the same God?

All Muslims are terrorists!

These Buddhists ***s are violent ****s!

The first post may seem insensitive but it's basically just a ignorant question. It could have been due to articles comparing parallels between the 2 religions.

The other 2 are straight-forward, aren't they?

We don't cherry pick posts, as you say. We cannot afford to but at the same time, we must be fair to members who just ask a simple question.

And we do know how to identify who's genuine and who's subtly trying to create trouble.

We do depend on members' reports to point incendiary content but please do not mistake reports as a guarantee of action. There are criteria for action to be taken as well.

I have escalated your PMs to the relevant authorities. They will do as they deem necessary. In future if you wish to report on errant users, kindly use the report button to alert or PM the respective forum moderators.

Let me spell it out for you, if the Admin team finds your reports breaking any forum rules they will deal out the necessary actions. On the other hand if they find them within tolerable limits they will keep a close watch and only step in when necessary. We do not infract or ban indiscriminately simply because a user is not happy with something.

For example, if you aren't happy with your neighbor for cooking curry, the town council will not evict your neighbor just because curry isn't your favorite dish. However if your neighbor is selling tainted or poisonous curry then yes the authorities will arrest him/her.

You sent me numerous PMs, i've been kind to assist you in the matter by highlighting it to the relevant authorities. Even if you don't appreciate our efforts, there is no need on your part to be sarcastic.

We have warned you before about the tone you use on others when you make a report and have overlooked it because you are the aggrieved party. This is not the first time you are groundlessly and implicitly accusing the moderating team of bias and not doing their job.

Moderators are members like yourself with private lives to lead to. Do not expect any of us to be at your beck and call but rest assured we will look into matters that you have brought to our attention.

Consider this your final warning. We reserve the right not to address your complaints unless you present them in a manner that is not discourteous.
