Seeking advice for my desktop

My desktop cannot detect my keyboard and mouse.

I have tested them on another computer and they work fine. I can also use my keyboard in BIOS and legacy USB is "enabled".

I want to try to do a System Restore before Windows starts but wasn't able to get to "Advanced Boot Options" even after pressing F8 key before the Windows logo appears.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

have u tried other ports? front panel as well?

next have u tried to use default setting in bios?

lastly for the last qns ans is that u are using windows 10 right? they prevent such actions. need to go into the system to do it.

Yup, I have tried the other USB ports as well but they didn't work

After you have mentioned, I have reset it to default settings before the problem still persisted.

Nope, I am using Windows 7. My comp is 6 six years old already, and has been working fine till last week.

try updating the drivers in windows?

or removing it and let it detect again after reboot.

haha bro, i can't use my mouse or keyboard. I have tried connecting after reboot but didn't work. I am really at my wits' end

got ps2? what gen of motherboard? skylake? OS version?

got usb 2.0 hub? can try connecting?

got bluetooth? or bluetooth dongle? got bluetooth keyboard?
