Hi all,
Am renting a unit that's closer to town and I have sought permission from the landlord to install a 2nd fibre line on premise.
I am looking for a provider that provides me with the most no-frills approach - terminating only at the ONT; I will configure the rest of the network according to my own schema. It will be mostly cabled and I have the necessary equipment on hand for this already, reusing some older hardware in my spare stock.
Am also looking for unmanaged and unthrottled connections even during peak hours.
I saw another thread in this forum comparing the various broadband providers... seems like only myRepublic 200mbps fits what I am looking for...? My family home is using the legacy 1 Gbps Unlimited Fibre Broadband which had these specifications but sadly it is no longer offered.
Also I understand that myRepublic uses CGNAT. I am a little concerned with the CGNAT implementation, but can this be issue be workaround by getting the one time static IP add on?
Please advise if other providers are a better pick or if my choice of myRepublic is good enough, and anything else I should be aware of (especially latency to international sites, including japan, china, europe and U.S.)
Looking forward to members' replies here, thanks!
