Unless you are born with defective genes, cancer is not really random. My uncle is in his 60s and is still fit as a fiddle. He told me that he still gets morning wood daily. He only eat whole food, organic veggies and wild caught fish. A lot of people think that they are eating healthily but in actual fact they are not. Majority of the people out there are just putting cancer cells into their mouth daily unknowingly.

Even good looking healthy fit looking young people get it.... sometimes those old dinos still no cancer... so really is luck despite what those "scientist" say....
Cancer is not one disease but many. Even the same type of cancer got many sub types that behave differently. So any statement that cancer is this or cancer is that is often inaccurate

environmental stress, metabolic stress (overeating) and psychological stress all result in the activation of myriad invisible cellular signalling pathways, one of which is the activation of endogenous transposable elements in your genome. this can lead to intergenerational physical changes that are better (better looks for eg) or worse (sudden appearance of disease). the worse genetic lottery event you can receive is cancer

so do not stress yourself unnecessarily. at work or on the road, always see open, be relaxed. we will all die eventually, so why get angry when u can just smile at fools?

IMHO, cancer is primarily due to mutation of cells. Normal cells have built-in mechanisms to self-detect errors (ownself check ownself) and self-destruct.

When cells mutate in such a way when some or all of these natural mechanisms fail, they have the potential to keep growing without stopping.

The onus is then on the immune system to detect such wayward cells and then destroy them.

However this is also not perfect and it is possible during periods of immune duress or suppression that evasion happens and these cells remain undetected.

Besides self-replication that causes the growth of cancer, abnormal cells can confuse other normal cells when they communicate. The latter can begin to malfunction and turn rogue.

Most people are unaware of this but such cellular mutations occur regularly. The majority of these mutations are resolved without issue over our lifetimes.

It's the rare few that evade all of the natural defense mechanisms which eventually lead to a dangerous situation.

Some are genetics (angelina jolie)
Some are external risk factors eg asbestos, radiation, viral (eg hpv, helicobacter)
Stress, lack of sleep, inflammation, diet (eg red meat) and lifestyle are contributors
The rest is chance

Cancer not random lah, just human technology not able to solve it well.

Cancer at the core of the idea is basically saying your cells suddenly decide that they don't do what they usually do to help you survive and become something else.

There are so many types of cells so from your liver, to stomach, to kidney to even your private parts and all are different types of cells that serve different purpose.

If somehow you lucky, the cells become something else but don't attack your system, that is a benign growth. Which is those lumps that people find in weird places but don't really harm them. Most of your moles, that's a benign growth.

However, most times when this cells change, they become something that is harmful to your system.

Current tech only just using radioactive rays to blast all cells, including healthy ones, and hopefully blast the cancer cells within an area. No matter how advanced is not really that sophisticated as people might think. So that's why to survive cancer means you have strong lifeforce.

It's random if you don't believe in Science.

If you believe in Science, you know certain factors can trigger cancer. These are factors that you can control.

Genes is something beyond your control.

Everything is random. The concept of order is just a human construct
