must thank LYK for it. he value brains more than limbs.
Erm, not expert but certain perspectives see, think local is going down a deep rabbit hole of sort. Think if got read more into stories about the past rulings, can't help feel the way local is managed have quite some similarities with last time.

Maybe its an Asian thing. Where they seems to value scholar above all else. Thus end up those book smart but not really practical scholars seem to run everything and sort of run the place down somewhat eventually.

As they don't really understand what the people really want and need. Only they own self think they know best what the people want, never-mind what the people think. Meanwhile somewhat enjoying themselves at the people expense. :s22:

nope .. up by at least 30-40% last decade.

every few years get promoted. if cannot get promoted likely behkan don't put everyone else in same basket.

bottom 10% don't expect salary increase or promotion. no one can help these people.

Err, you are supposed do to like for like comparison. Like the median salary of a 40 years old graduate in 1993, 2003, 2013, 2023.

Then compare against the PSF of HDB in 1993, 2003, 2013, 2023.

Ya some sectors only.... i think admin, accounts, marketing all these no change... anyway tech now is crap what
On average 26%, obviously you should take a course with better trajectory

and most tech workers laid off are able to quite easily find a new role as there is still a general shortage of workers

really?

to measure what ?

just quickly get promoted or invest to make more money loh.

starting pay is crap lah.
it is the annual increments and promotions which matters in life. and of course smart investments.
this is realistic and true measurements.

because the bottom 10% will always drag statistics down.

Yes finally someone who knows what im talking about
That's a good thing also if u think about the problem of closing the income gap. The lower bracket is slowly nudge upwards. But now maybe the middle income or sandwich class is probably bigger than last time and needs Abit of help if not it might become the new low income

Still lower than the 26% increase in salary means what?

average selling price psf for BTO flats in mature estates rose by 21.9 per cent to $584 in the first nine months of 2022, up from $479 in 2012. In the same period, the average selling price psf for BTO flats in non-mature estates increased 16.4 per cent from $311 in 2012 to $362 in 2022.

Most jobs are quite similar as a decade ago. Only thing that changed is the cost of living that doubled.
I'm quite suprised gotch SME put out operation, marketing, business manager roles which asking is $3000.

Maybe that's why TS start this thread.

It's due to SME that private sector wages is so cui.
