I use a battery-operated handheld vacuum cleaner with a small cleaning brush that comes with the vacuum cleaner. Brush and and suck the dust from the fins lor. Won't cause the fins to bend

Just pay money for pros to do it

They don really clean well.
They wash the fan rotator without using a brush n dirt turns moist n tough to remove when it dries. Parts r washed n assembled back WITHOUT DRYING. Singapore is hot n humid , parts have to air dry well before assembly.

I do regular cleaning for my Aircon for my house. Wash fan rotator and filter with hand soap & brush. Wipe the tray with face towel. After that use antibacterial wipes to wipe the tray and dry it with face towel. I do wiped the space behind the coil with anti bacterial wipes n dry well with face towel. I also use wet vacuum cleaner to suck out the jelly n water in the aircon pipe too. Today I just did my bedroom. It could save my hubby at least $600 per year (4 Aircon units) .

My compressor fins were clogged with dust. I dismantled the chassis and sprayed with some detergent, brushed it then used pressure gun to cleared as much as possible.

Thought not super clean but it's probably at least 50 percent better.

Result is no noticeable increase in efficiency or cooler.

I my current unit is the indoor unit not blowing strong enough for my own unit.

Cleaned blower also the same. Did chemical wash 2 years ago. I got a feeling is the motor issue. :(
