Any one done this before? Like casing doesn't come with LED lights, ownself buy LED and paste them around the borders of the chassis side window thingy.

Thinking of doing it for my Carbide Air casing like the one Aftershock did for their Tremor series but not sure how to go about it on powering up the LEDs

If u gt soldering skills, go buy some 3-pin connectors meant for fan. U can either connect direct to PSU for full speed only, connect to mobo and set to a voltage under BIOS or buy a fan controller to control ur fans and voltage of the led.

U can either stick along the window so that your components can get more light shine onto it or stick at the edges of the case for ambient lighting.

I DIY my own and got the leds from SLT, lvl 1. The shop is near to an exit and sell only LEDs, cant miss it. I took the 3rd brightest white.

I think it was around $10-11/m.

how about the deepcool rgb led?

comes with remote control, very bright and allows you to change colors. cant remember how much but should be around 25 with discount (more if you know the people at SLS)

installed it for a friend once and it was really good. thinking about doing the same for my own rig

Both uses 12V... For my 2m led, if all of my fans are turned off in the fan controller, it requries around 7.8v.

If u buy it commercially, it will cost around $7-8 per 30cm. After the first time i bought, i went around SLT looking for others and i found that led shop. Cheaper and brighter white than what i had initially bought.

TBH, from the day i mount the led, i hardly see my internals de.. lol...

If to show off to friends, then maybe yes. But if for own eye candy, i think need not go so expensive options.

Actually since I dunno how to solder and I don't have one, both is an option for me. I can probably ask my friend to help me solder since he have it and does some soldering stuff though.

U just need to provide him the crimps, 3-pin fan connector. Also do note on which hole to leave blank and where is the positive and negative. All of those can be googled.
