Self-upgrade RAM for rMBP

I am looking to buy a rMBP (Retina) for myself. It comes with 8gb RAM.

I am looking into the possibility of making it into 16GB in the coming future. Can I do it myself, or it has to be done by Apple (which is $280 :s22:)

It's soldered on, so no manual upgrade available.
