Sell high or sell low

Hi guys,

Wanna seek some guidance. Lets say I have the same stocks but

50units bought at $60
50units bought at $80
Current stock price is $100.

Would need some cash now, its better to sell away units that was bought at $60 or $80?

Lppl situation. Which stock have more growth potential? Or will they possibly increase their revenues through different sources? Or sell half of both? So u get to keep both stocks just lowered total sum.

he is holding the same stock but with different purchasing price.

If the stock you are holding still have the potential to go up, then hold. if not, sell all.

Look at the chart trend, think US stocks are quite vulnerable now as at any point of time, they may raised interest rate.

Monday call your broker and tell them to find those units that are bought at $60. (cause it could take them years to find)

Selling those means you can pocket more profits.

It makes no difference.

The only time it makes a difference is when you're going to get slugged capital gains tax; you might want to sell the higher-priced units to minimise your capital gain, or the oldest units to take advantage of different tax treatment on stocks that have been held for longer than a year.

But Singapore has no CGT, so - no diff.

you could just view them as 100 units bought at an average price of 70 for all of them.
