My old build, still using it, but maybe need to make it smaller due to space constraints. Should i sell it as a whole? or just upgrade?

MSI H97 Gaming 3 + i5-4570
Avexir Core red 4gb x2
WD Blue 1tb
Crucial mx100 256gb
MSI 970 Armor
Seasonic G650 650w 280+ Gold Modular PSU
nzxt h440 -red black

Roughly how much is this build worth right now?

Thinking of selling it off as a set

or

downsizing it but keeping the 970, as the games i play don't really need much power,(Dota/Apex(low setting))

Also H440 Casing is huge, so if i'm gonna keep it, most prob will go ITX.. will do more research on that!

Any advices?

Look for a small case you want first, after you decide on the small case you want then you source for parts accordingly.

Can just change the mobo to second-hand matx/itx (carousell/hwz/taobao) depending on how small you want the new case to be, but the case must be able to fit in your GTX 970 as i5-4570 cannot really play games with the iGPU.

If you even have to change your GPU due to size constraint of new case, you might as well just go new Ryzen 3 2200G + A320/B350 (only Ryzen 2000 Ready ones) or B450 mobo + dual channel 3000mhz ddr4 ram (or at least 2666mhz) + reuse the rest of the parts without a dedicated GPU in the new case.

So you only have to sell your mobo cpu ddr3 and GPU.

It's usually hard to sell in a set, don't expect too much for your parts also especially CPU because a brand new $140 (full price no discounts) Ryzen 3 2200G already beats it in the CPU component and even has an iGPU that can actually be used to play games. A lot of people paid a lot in the past for their CPU parts but neglect to compare it with price of existing generation CPUs when they set their selling price so nobody want to buy their outdated/overpriced old CPU parts. But that being said there's also gonna be people who will lowball you at a price you'll rather dunk your PC parts in water. Just price appropriately for its current value against the market and hope that there will be a sincere buyer looking to pay an appropriate price (cheaper than price of equivalent performance new current generation parts since it's second-hand, but not low enough to make you roll your eyes).

That build is more than capable of running MOBA games(LOL, DOTA, CSGO) at high settings. Unless you're planning to play more demanding games, theres no need to upgrade

Either sell or keep the whole thing. No point upgrading unless you can find a cheap i7-4770/K or i7-4790/K.

You can check out Taobao or ebay for an idea of the market price.

ahh Hopefully can loh, not looking for high price actually. Need to check what's the market value first loh..

Ahh yes, finding a buyer is gonna be a huge issue. HAHA Will take note regarding that.

But roughly how much would this fetch tho? I doubt much, but i'm willing to take the harsh truth :s22:

Yes!! But if i can reduce its size, it would be awesome. It can still run apexlegend at lower settings, so its fine for me actually.

Just the size issue haha

Wanna sell loh, if upgrade, i'll most probably just keep the GPU, the rest can find ways to get rid of it.

Any advices?

You are better off selling them as separate parts. Few would buy one entire set as it is.

Sold mine similiar spec recently at carousell for $250. (took awhile to sell though) Just prepare yourself for the realistic value of old tech.
