Read that SSD deteriorate with frequent read/ write.
Do we need to install games on a separate SSD?

i.e. 1 SSD for Windows and software and 1 SSD for games.

If u have the money, y not?

Else, nope, SSD will not degrade so fast. Even if it degrades, it will take a lot longer than u think for u to feel the tangible loss in read/write speeds. Unless u r those kind that write 1TB of data into the SSD per day.

game write the data once then keep reading ?
read no lifetime countdown ... only write

anyway I'm low on ram now with my multitasking , hopefully when I fresh install on sdd can help a little
I see system resource it is constantly writing about 700kb/s on the hdd as cache because not enough ram .... if it continue like that on SDD it will degrade like maybe 5% useful life over 2 months before I build new rig

Most people get secondary SSD for games when they ran out of space in their primary OS SSD.

SSD and HDD serve the same purpose of storage. It's just that it makes more sense to store ur music, photos, other non frequently accessed files in HDD. Frequently accessed files like OS files and application files best to out in SSD to take advantage of much faster read/write speeds.

For games, it depends. Do note that some games can go up to 40GB in size. So it's a tradeoff between capacity and performance. How many games can u store in ur SSD? If u move other games to HDD, r u able to live with the slower game load times?

So it is not necessary to have 2 SSD.
Is 250GB SSD enough for Windows and games?

U have to decide for yourself.

Your Windows 7 Home 64-bit is 16GB in OS files. Add some bloatware (yes, Windows 7 has a lot of accompanying bloatware), u may be staring at 55GB worth of OS files. So u have about 180GB of space left in a 250GB SSD (238GB usable space). How many games do u have and how big are their files? Can they fit into 180GB of space on the SSD?

Like what other said, it depends on your usage. For me, my games drive is 500gb. And it's nearly full.

Gta 5, skyrim, dragon age 3, project cars, etc are huge disk gobblers

Depends on the games that you have, there are some games that on its own take up 80GB.

I currently use a seperate 500GB ssd for my steam games, and I already managed to use more than half of its capacity. Back couple of years ago, used to have only a 250GB for os and games, and I find myself constantly uninstallating old games. It's feasible though.
