This summary concludes that Wifi is NOT harmful to health but it does highlights a couple of points:
It affects sperm count - Yildirim et al. Exposure on male rats shows increased cancer rate. Long term studies on exposure inconclusive*.
*Just to be clear, what is "mainstream science"? It is the consensus of so called every scientific community accepting the results of researches. Whether there is motive of accelerating a certain agenda or preventing information to leak to the public too soon. We will never know. They quoted exposure of Wifi to semen, sensational, but when see how they conduct the experiment, its meh at best (Using a 2.4G instead of 5~10G). And to continue receiving funding, I doubt they will make their findings too conclusive. It is both beneficial to the WIFI industry and to themselves.
Yet our body is our own, I wouldnt want to place my health on the hands of scientists and their politics.
It is not about paranoid. Shutting them off when not in use is just responsible to one's own health until facts are proven.
