[Serious] How to install redhat 6 using Vsphere Client.

Moi keep getting this error msg "this kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot- please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU." :eek::eek::eek: any experts can help? :sad: PS moi ish noob in linux.

What hardware did you install your esxi on? Indicate your processor model and brand. It means either you did not enable VT in your bios or your processor do not support 64bits system. The latter unlikely because with VT VMware can allow 64bits guest running on 32bits system in emulated mode.

Also did you select the right virtual machine type, in this case redhat 64bits what you built the virtual machine guest?

Vmware Workstation 8. Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9650 @ 3.00Ghz 3.00 Ghz, HP. Enable VT. Processor support 64bit. :s11::s11::s11: cant find the fault eh :vijayadmin:

are you running a 64bits OS which is hosting your VMware workstation 8? Which is it?
