like our iPhone? assembled in China?
MG (Morris Garages), the famous British car brand, is **no longer owned by the British**.

* MG was originally founded in the UK in the 1920s and became well known for its small sports cars.
* Over the decades, it went through several ownership changes (British Leyland, Rover Group, BMW, etc.).
* In **2005**, the collapsed MG Rover Group was acquired by **Nanjing Automobile Group**, a Chinese company.
* Later in **2007**, Nanjing Auto merged with **SAIC Motor Corporation Limited** (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation), one of China’s biggest carmakers.
* Today, **SAIC Motor (China)** fully owns the MG brand.

MG cars are now designed and built primarily in China, though **SAIC still maintains a design and engineering centre in Longbridge, Birmingham, UK** to keep the British heritage alive in some form.

👉 So yes — MG is a **Chinese-owned brand**, even though it still uses its British legacy for branding and design influence.

Would you like me to also break down **which MG models are made in the UK vs. China** today?

I won't doubt anyone buying a byd won't say its value for money. It's destroying the market.

The kia, how much did you lose over how many years?

What market it destroyed ? The $300k suv market ? We not car manufacturers or dealers why we care and protect them to sell $300k cars ?

Coe is not cheap in first place. Unless you are elite and super rich, common folks just want good value for money.

Byd only started selling in SG in 2022 or so to mass consumer.

U won't get "long term reviews" for people in their 8th or 9th year into COE kind.

The only reason stopping me from buying a BYD now is the interior currently comes in only one colour. Boring black. No other colour options.
