setting up dual screen

I have a Samsung chronos 7 and a Samsung syncmaster 2233w monitor ...can I connect this 2 for dual screen? as the monitor does not have hdmi..if I buy a hdmi to dvi cable does it work? or shud I get a hdmi to vga cable?

HDMI to DVI should work.

If both are different native resolutions Windows 7 should display different resolutions respectively.
