Hi all,

I would need your help to guide which is better

PC setup 1

PC setup 2

PC setup 3

PC setup 4

Not sure if program can install at secondary hard drive so that's why I thinking of getting Hitachi HDD

As for Windows, will be getting from Microsoft. (Afraid may change part in future)

Graphic card may get from Qoo10 - With coupon discount

Purpose of this setup is for games (battlefield 1) or upcoming VR game using Oculus VR.

As for RAM, I'm not sure if that is good enough.

Kindly please advise.

Those are so-so specs for a 2K rig.

Some comments -

(1) SSD is a must. NVMe is nice but not necessary. SATA SSD is good enough.

(2) If you are going to pony up $699 for Asus Dual GTX 1070, might as well go for MSI Gaming GTX 1080 - $899 on Lazada after $100 voucher. Alternatively, you can save some money by going for Zotac GTX 1070.

Who came out with this setup?

If you not ocing get 2400mhz ram pls..

Also z series board are a waste of money if you don't pair it up with an unlocked 7600k cpu...

Window get from reddit or play asia don't even needs 50bux.

best config is setup one

1) go for ssd, no need m.2, just sata will do
850 evo sata has the same speed as m.2 if i remember correctly.
Unless you are going for 950/960 pro or 960 evo, than there will be a high jump in speed but in real life no much difference

2) no need go for Z-series board if you not going to overclock

3) just get value ram if on budget

4) GPU keep a lookout on Qoo10 to offset with voucher

windows 10 can buy here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/
https://carousell.com/jonessk/

the carousell 1 cheapest, some bros have bought it, its legit (from MSDN directly)

ur rams can go for the cheapest if u are using h270 boards
u can install programs on hdd while os is still in ssd
and lets see, psu can get better brands like super flower, evga or corsair (best is get from amazon...)

mobo - if u want 2666mhz, u need the z boards, h boards only go up to 2133mhz or 2400mhz

ram - you can save more if its not led ones, if u want led one den it's okay.

harddisk - ssd is a must for fast bootup. can add in a hdd if u need extra spaces.

GPU - depends you to save $$ or go warrenty. gpu can save u most if buying aboard. Can save ard $100-$250 (for me i save $250 compared to retail). If u like warrenty more, qoo10 should be okay w coupon, just make sure it local warrenty.

PSU - you only need 550w/650w, no need for 750w. there's a PSU calculator, just google it. every 100w lesser save u money. for me i gonna recommend EVGA ones, EVGA PSU score high on a lot of benchmarks, very very popular PSU in US, but not in sg, due to local warrenty issue.

WIN10 - can get from ebay or carousell for less than $15.

WIN10 itself can save u $200, PSU if lower w can save u ard $50. See what u want to do with ur saving. can upgrade and get both ssd and hhd with that saving or something else. :D

what warranty issue? there is a local distro for EVGA PSUs

even so, their RMA process for overseas units is very hassle free

oh i didn't know that! I always wonder why EVGA PSU is so underrated here despite having one of the best benchmarks.

I just asked the seller about the key. But it's definitely not a retail licence key. You would need to buy a new key in event you change hardware or reformat.
