Setting up of a Will

My mom wants to make a will. She says going to a lawyer cost around SGD$200. She has not ask about the retrival of her setup will after she is no longer around
Due to lawyer's fee per hour basis for answering question, i would like to ask in here first.
Does anyone know if we were to retrieve the will of my mom from the lawyer. Do we need to pay a fee for this? If yes, what is the average fee?

Lol... You watch too much law shows issit? Asking for a quote from a lawyer inclusive of a few basic questions like what you are asking here does not incur fees. If lawyers charged even for just giving quotes, then their seccies and their accounts department would be very busy.

(I work in a law firm, but sorry we don't do wills.)

I actually walked in 1 day and asked. The lady said that its by 'hourly charges'

There's already a thread. If you go to lawyer, it must mean that you have a complex estate with overseas assets (with tax implications), or you have special arrangements to make (secret trust)

If it's simple,
(1) just borrow the book from library and copy out the template.
(2) attend will writing seminar where they give out a similar template but you get some explanation in case you don't like reading.
(3) go NTUC will-writing service where there is a flat rate.
