Wow, were these taken with the default shooting mode or manual adjustment?

Taken in default automatic shooting mode with minor manual exposure adjustment. I am using the original/vanilla SH Camera to take my pictures. :)

Haha bro u stay in punggol too ? Nice pictures

I stay in Tampines, but heads to Punggol at times for bike rides. :)

Nice, feel tempted to get the sh-01g. My biggest concern is the lag from the bloatware. Is lag an issue and will removing the bloatware remove the lag

SH-01G in my opinion is a great phone from SHARP, so is SH-04F. The only flaws I'll say are its bloatware, its slightly poor usage of ram (it often has to reload apps), no inbuilt LED light management and the fact that most of them are not made in Japan.

Not saying that these cons are a deal breaker, but they are my pet peeves. Other than that, SH-01G is a decent, reliable and lovely phone, especially the material of Indigo colour.

Regarding your question, there is no way we can remove the bloatware except to disable most DoCoMo apps; and not all of them are capable of being disabled. It won't affect your phone much but its annoying to see these apps reappearing after closing them in 'apps management'. There isn't any lag in my opinion, just those pesky DoCoMo apps.

Thanks for your extremely valuable feedback. Yes I got burned pretty badly by docomo sharp phone before ( sh-09d). The bloat was very bad and no amount of disabling the docomo bloat helped. It caused allot of lagging and battery drain
Also there were issues with WiFi tethering and taking very very long to get gps lock ( true gps not agps).

Is the sh-g made in China? My previous sharp phones (sh-09d and 304sh) are all very well made and beautiful phones. Just pity about the bloat. 304 sh had no bloat issues but cannot use real gps. Also the cameras were not so impressive.

I guess you can be relieved as DoCoMo phones are much more bloatware-free now in my opinion; compared to your 2012 model. I owe a F-06E, F-02G, SH-04F, SH-01G & SH-02G and most of the DoCoMo apps do not give me any significant performance or battery drain problem. I do not have any problems with teetering or GPS either.

When the phone is first started up, there might be around 10-15 apps running, but the majority of them can be force stopped/closed, leaving with around 5-8 essential core apps. There is only 2 bloatware from DoCoMo that re-appears after being forced closed (it does not reappear until a few hours later).

All in all, bloatware in SH-01G should not be a problem and it is not a big thing to worry about. Most of the time, I am worrying more about Android OS using unsolicited CPU & data usage instead.

F-06E's running apps:

SH-01G's running apps(there is 1 DoCoMo app missing; since I often head to Apps Management to kill any pesky apps):

Unfortunately, most SHARP phones are made in China with the exception of the very first batch of AQUOS phones (my theory is that the first batch are made in Japan as betas and to iron out any problems. Once it has achieved the green light, they'll move their production to China).

So far I've come across 2 SH-01G and they are both Made In China (if anyone's is Made In Japan, please feel free to post it here).
1 SH-04F that is Made In China as well.
But..
2 SH-02G that is both made in Japan

For Fujitsu, 100% Made in Japan. Gotta love it.

I do agree 304SH is an extremely attractive phone. The battery capacity is the only turn off for me ;)

For camera quality wise, I am not sure about that since I have not really seen any 304SH pictures sample. But SH-01G's picture quality still gets the love from me. I'll say it is just a little slightly worse than a Note 4 (just my opinion).

what's so special about the material? not plastic?

It is not plastic. Instead, it is made of a rubbery texture that provides a really good grip. There are little consistent protruding convexes that give this phone a texture I've never felt before; it is brilliantly unique and a tactile so captivating. It feels surreal that a phone has such a material on its back.

I own sh-04f, pictures looks wonderful on screen but crappy if transfer to computer or post online. Dropped it on the floor and screen was damaged, only half a screen appears the other half only lines. Using f-05f now photos decent but not great. Hoping to get either sh-01g or f-02g

That is correct. Out of the 4, Indigo is the only one that has a unique texture.
Please refer to this website for more detailed pictures of SH-01G:

Indigo= Rubbery
White= Glossy
Light Blue= Glossy with a certain texture(rubbery as well? I couldn't recall)
Pink/Red= Matte

Regarding that, my personal opinion is that all pictures will look crappy when transferred to PC? :s13: Though I admit pictures shown on my SH-01G/4F looks really much better than on PC; and so is F-06E/2G.

Generally, I'll say Fujitsu takes better daylight pictures whereas SHARP has the upper hand at low lighting conditions.

how is f-02g compare to sh-01g in term of battery ,camera and performance wise?

(all these are my opinions and does not reflect the official performance)

F-02G pales in comparison in a few a few major aspects(mostly battery for me)

1) Battery usage for display

F-02G consumes a tonne of battery power for its WQHD display. In my usage, it consumes at least 40% of my battery power (using GSM battery app) vs 18-24% for SH-01G. Display on F-02G is super crisp and beautiful but at an expense of battery. SH-01G wins by a landslide in display aspect. But hey, F-02G's display is really beautiful!

2) Battery usage for CPU

F-02G has a quirky CPU. Feels as if it is a hot headed/blooded lad. It often throttles up even on simple basic usage (3C Toolbox app), resulting in intense battery usage and unsolicited heat generation. F-02G's CPU gave me a worrying and negative impression on Fujitsu's handling of its CPU usage; more often than not having its CPU run on high frequencies and load. In all, I will say that F-02G's CPU usage and handling is poor compared to SH-01G. You can say that F-02G is a Ferarri that speeds up really quickly, and having an excellent speed but poor mileage. SH-01G, on the other hand, is a mild docile Mercedes sedan that does what you need it to do. Reliable and lasting

3) Battery usage when sleep/idle/screen off

F-02G has a pretty poor battery consumption compared to SH-01G(in my usage). Nearly 3/4 of its battery usage goes to its Kernel, and lord knows what Fujitsu is doing under the hood. SH-01G fares better in this area, which most of the usage being on Kernel & Android System. Battery usage and management is better in SH-01G compared to F-02G in this area. (this happens to my F-06E as well)

4) CPU

F-02G is really jiffy, responsive. Delays and lag are not in Fujitsu's vocabulary. SHARP on the other hand definitely has room for some improvements. Once again, of course, Fujitsu has a temperament, unpredictable and erratic CPU usage which often results in a poorer battery life.

5) Heating

Talk about overheating! F-02G when under moderate to high load will bring your CPU temperature to a nice toasty 63-68 degrees celsius. You can literally feel the back of your F-02G heating up. Does not happen on SH-01G unless you are taking a 10minute WQHD video.

Pros of F-02G over SH-01G

1) Snappy response

Touch or launch what you want and the 801 under F-02's hood will do exactly as you say.

2) RAM

Has a really great RAM management. Apps resume quick and without the need to restart whereas SHARP often has to restart the app from scratch and has slower resume time.

3) Looks

Premium built. Solid feel on hands. Love the metallic side which has an alluring sheen. Amazing built quality, nothing short of a well-crafted and design handset. It is no wonder that it won a 2015 Red Dot Design.

4) Picture qualities

Haven't really try out the pictures (phone is not with me anymore) but Fujitsu often takes really beautiful daylight pictures. F-02G will generally surpass SH-01G daylight picture qualities.

Strengths of F-02G

- One of a kind unique and beautiful design
- Solid feel, feels great on your hand; premium feel
- Battery Size
- Responsive and jiffy
- Great tactile feedback
- IPX6/8
- Charges via dock
- Beautiful display, especially pictures & videos
- WQHD
- Built in 'Blue-Light Cut Down' mode
- Dolby Surround sound (can be changed to your own preference. runs in background, so any audio you are listening are enhanced)
- 20.7mp camera
- Different colour variations have different material texture
- Can be used with gloves

F-02G feels like a phone for the discerning and matured; with its specifications to match with.
SH-01G is more of your reliable phone, with a decent design and look, just lacking the 'oomph'

In all, F-02G = Luscious x gorgeous. Average battery life (sub-par if compared to SH-01G), great great performance and beautiful daylight pictures. It's humongous 3500mAh compensates for any higher battery usage than other mainstream phones.

Thanks for your great and detailed replies. I see you mentioned the lag and pause issues on the sh-01g compared with the Fujitsu. Is it really a significant lag?

The lag on SH-01G is nothing serious at all. Definitely not. It might be a little uncomfortable for those who demands an instantaneous response from their mobile devices. It is more of a minor and really short stutter; maybe a 0.1-0.2sec delay when you press the 'recent apps' button after waking it from sleep?

But if you were to compare with F-02G, lag or delays are virtually non-existent.

Both are great phones in my opinion.

Thanks for the great reply again. The lag concern is again due to my prev horrible experience with the sh-09d zeta. The lag I guess is abit like the pause with the samsung devices I presume? ( due to touchwiz) in this case

Yup I did consider the fujitsu phones also but the design of sharp is what catches my eye and the fujitsu ones look too much like the common phones out there :p. Also battery life is critical nowadays as I don't carry a battery pack and I am usually moving about and not tied in the office
