Shanghai December with kids

Hi,

Plan to visit Shanghai in December with kids for 8D7N. Will be free and easy and not a cramped schedule.

Plan to spend 2 days at Shanghai Disneyland, stay 1N or 2N in Disney Toy Story Hotel. Reach PVG in late afternoon and plan to go direct to Disneyland hotel to check in.

City hotels in Shanghai. Any 4* hotels to recommend?

Any other places to recommend in Shanghai? Suitable for primary school kids. Thinking of the Bund, Yu Garden, Tianzifang.

Transport is Shanghai to these places of interest with be via taxi?

Plan to go to 1 ancient water town. As there's quite a few in Shanghai, which one is worth going?

Plan to go to Suzhou also. Should do day trip or stay 1 night there? Any day trip agencies or hotels in Suzhou to recommend?

I stayed at Green Court Serviced Apartment, the family room has 2 queen beds plus washing machine if that’s important for you

good location, walking distance to the Bund and Yu Garden, lots of eating places around as well

It is easier to get around by the metro than taxi most of the time cause of traffic. At night, it's better to take a taxi cause of the (lesser) traffic.

You want to unpack and pack, for a night stay in Suzhou? Lugging your luggages to take the high speed train to Suzhou and then 'wasting time' checking into a hotel? Suzhou is eaay to get around via public transport. I remember there is a tourist bus (have to check if it's still existing).

I am planning a trip in year end too. Planning to go to a water town. Not too picky about which one. Best to have one that is less crowded. Anybody know of a contact for tour guide and driver. 4 people.

Would it be a good idea to travel to water town then go hangzhou and stay for 1 night?
