First time going there.. any hotel to recommend?? Dunno which area to stay so far narrow down jing an and the bund area.

Is it worth staying the bund area? I know more ex but heard the views Jin swee.

i stayed the green roof top hotel on the bund, the "peace hotel"as many would called it.
it was creepy as it was very old holel

but the views is good only if yr wndows facing out of the bund

Less than half the rate of Peace Hotel, the Park Hotel is just as authentic from the hey days of art deco. Overlooking People's Square.

Nanjing West Road / Jing An will be a good spot less crowded too. cheaper, large and slightly modern hotels
Bund/ Nanjing East are sufficient for half a day to walkthrough it


Bund Puyan or Mehood Elegant north bund has cheap large spacious rooms walkable to the Bund

Shanghai nice. Stayed for 1 year.
Vibrant and many good places to chill
Nite life is fantastic.

Definitely worth if you okay to pay for the views of the Bund, otherwise further out and travel in.
There's also cheap and good China branded hotels too, don't just look for International brands.
