i was reading about huangshan - some atb told me go huangshan the rest of the shan no need see

but 4-6 hrs away from shanghai

better to go hangzhou first and then to huangshan, (or shanghai > huangshan > hangzhou > shanghai also can ) - save travelling time. hangzhou is nearer to 千岛湖 too, can consider use hangzhou as base for both huangshan and qiandaohu

huangshan town will still be quite warm in November but up in the mountains can be 10-15C lower


suzhou to shanghai by train is 1 hour only, can always get tickets if not picky and can take cheapo seats, possible to do day trip if book hotel near train station

Even if you take the cable car up, there is still some climbing to do. The HSR each way takes over 3 hours. Better stay a night.

城隍庙 is a shrine outside 豫园.
And many shops around this Garden.

This is according to my research.

I'm heading to shanghai in december and researched on tailors. I saw there is a building filled with different tailors and seems like good reviews throughout. Soft fabric market

You are probably referring to 南外滩轻纺面料市场 near Nanpu Bridge. I visited many years ago. Certainly the place to get your tailoring done with the fabrics you select.

I just returned 4 days ago.
It is like 10- minutes interval MRT .
I bought the next available tickets with cash at the train counter .

We did something like a whirlwind trip of Hangzhou, Suzhou and Shanghai earlier this year in June.

Flew into Hangzhou, and then ended our trip in Shanghai.

In Hangzhou, the West Lake is pretty nice. Took one of those small sampans for a 40 minute ride.

Ling Yin temple with all the Buddha Rock carvings was pretty neat, though we didn't enter the temple.

VIsited a park, with a famous Red Carp Pond.

The Hangzhou QINGHEFANG Ancient Pedestrian 清河坊古街 was good for a walk.

I briskwalked one big round Xihu at 5am+ .

It will be winter and pretty cold for Huangshan in November. Unless you have trekking/hiking experience and likes the cold, I won't recommend it. A lot of Singaporeans have no idea how massive these mountains are. If you barely exercise and/or not fit, don't bother with the mountains.
