Some tips to share. Share yours too.

Multitasking
This can still be accessed by double tapping the home button on any iOS device.

To kill a background application in iOS 7, users simply slide the window preview upward and "throw" it off of the screen.

Any application can be killed in the multitasking menu, including the currently running one. Previously, users could not close the current application.

New lock screen
With the new lock screen in iOS 7, users can slide their finger anywhere on the display from left to right to unlock the device. Previously, the "slide to unlock" capability required a specific part of the screen to be touched.

This convenience also extends to answering a phone call on the iPhone, allowing users to swipe anywhere to take the call.

Information and controls can also be quickly accessed from the lock screen, without a need to unlock the device. The new Control Center can be viewed from the lock screen by swiping up from the bottom of the display, while the revamped Notification Center is also available by swiping down from the top.

Quick access to the camera is also available by swiping up from the bottom right corner of the screen. Users are shown this with a camera icon logo displayed there.

Spotlight Search
In iOS 7, the Spotlight search functionality is no longer its own home screen. Instead, Spotlight can be accessed from any home screen by simply swiping downward.

Doing so pulls all of the icons down to reveal a search box at the top of the screen. This also brings up an onscreen keyboard so a search query can be entered.

Aside from this change, Spotlight search works exactly the same as it did in iOS 6, allowing users to search messages, contacts, apps, music and more.

Is there anyway to switch off apps folder opening animation? Its so troublesome now that I have to finish watching the opening animation before I can touch the apps.

Talking about killing active apps, you can now use more than one finger to kill multiple apps at the same time. No need to swipe up one active app at a time :)

There are new ringtones and chat tones available in the settings. Some of them really sound good!

Here are two tips to add to TS's list.

Reveal iMessage and SMS Timestamps

With iOS 7, you can reveal the timestamp for each and every message.
Just grab one of the speech bubbles in a thread and swipe to the left
and you can see what time the message was sent.

Take Control Of Your Apps

Go to Settings > General > Background Apps Refresh
Switch it off to minimize data usage.

(*Note that certain apps may need this to be switched on for the app
to work properly and you can leave it on for the particular app.)

It is such fun and pleasure to play with iOS 7.... yeah small bugs here and there.... I will give one small advice, download and install latest iTunes in your PC or Mac and update all pending apps... now connect your iOS device and sync (dont try to update pending apps through AppStore in iPhone or iPad, i find some error and not installing....)... now disconnect and restart your device... you can notice your iOS device will be more fluid and more bug free... happy play with iOS 7....

In safari, swiping left to right is going back to previous page, right to left is to next page. Nv see anywhere mention this before. 1 good thing about ios7 is pulling down notification bar now reveals date and day, perfect for people like me who dun wear a watch.

2 issues for me...after updating apps from apps store, those apps already updated still appear under 'updates' even after exiting the store and re-opening the app. previously it'll show as 'all apps are up to date'.

The other is under notification centre, I do not see 'weather' as an option anymore, not even found under 'do not include'.

In addition, is background app refresh necessary to be turned on?

Yes there's weather update at Notification centre. Notification centre->Today Summary. Its in the form of words now "Mostly cloudy currently. It's 29D; the high today was 31D"

But my today summary is in the form of a toggle switch which is currently on. Swipe down and only states today's date.

Seriously you aren't seeing this bro? This is a screengrab from my wife's 4S. I check my daughter's iPod touch 5th gen, my iP5, my iPad Mini. All have weather update leh.

And when you press the words, it'll go to weather app. Just like in control centre when you press the song, it'll open up Music app.
