Hi there,

Anyone could share their experience in off-shore engineering? be it work or studies in any schools/campus; i just want know what is it like in the working sector and study environment.

Earn big money with a lot of leaves & time offs. Not to forget about free foods & etc which save you a lot of money because you can't spend money for things like shopping because you are station off shore.

The bad thing is hard to spend time with family or study part time at school cause most of time you are off shore & only time is your leaves & time offs. Another bad thing is you apply your leaves together with your time offs because your free times depend on your assignment schedule.

never had experience but here's roughly what your life's like

4 weeks offshore, 7days/week, 12hrs/day. Not sure how long will the home leave be (2 weeks?). Ya, u get free meals and don't have to spend at all. No variable bonus though but there's probably retention bonus every few months so that you'll be loyal. Other than being away from your loved ones, another downside would be safety at work
