For those who are on the 2GB plan and who are able to lock onto an LTE connection:
Don't you feel like the 2GB is very limiting? Finally we're able to surf websites, refresh twitter and update facebook at home broadband speeds. However, my data usage chalks up so quickly that I only turn on LTE when I really need it.
Also, the battery takes a beating when LTE is on. Surfing image-heavy websites for just 5 minutes, I experienced a 20% battery drop.
Granted, this is Apple's first foray into LTE and I really do hope that they can address the battery issue in the upcoming iPhone 5S or 6.
As for the local telcos...I just want to say 2GB is definitely not enough. The only reason why the telcos concluded that most users do not hit over 1GB of data usage in a month was because 3G connection was so poor that nobody even bothered surfing!
4G speeds are truly a breakthrough, and I can say for myself that I truly enjoy surfing on my mobile now. Who knows, maybe we'll have to wait 2 more generations later till Apple and the telcos can come to a conclusion to put consumers first.
