2015 is here and SHARP has a new line up of their Bezel-less goodness!

Which phone here catches your attention?

The 5.5in SH-03G with fingerprint sensor or the humongous 5.7in AQUOS Xx?

Have a look. Enjoy~

What's the 4g band for sh03g?
XX like cannot be used in sg

Hey Computeron, I am not sure stuffs about frequency band so I got this bunch of info for you instead.

対応周波数:GSM(850 / 1800 / 1900MHz)、WCDMA(900 / 2100MHz)、FDD-LTE(900 / 1700 / 2100MHz)、AXGP 2500MHz

Not sure if this helps.

I am disappointed as well. 13mp Cameras have no place in 2015. Look at Fujitsu F-04G, 21.5MP !

But I must give credit to SHARP for having the world's slowest slow-motion shooting function and time-lapse photography; to be able to shoot seconds 2,100 pieces in FWVGA resolution. Have you seen the videos of how slow it can get!?

Other than that, SHARP's 13mp cameras have nice night picture taking capabilities and decent images. Let's just hope for 2015 Winter models. (;

SH-03G looks good...

All Japanese phones are just as good, if not, even better than the phones in the international market. ;) All EDGEST designs from SHARP are good looking in my opinion, especially Crystal X.

If only Fujitsu and SHARP collaborates and create a phone..

Used SH-01G. Then switched to LG G4, S6 Edge and M9. Then still come back to SH-01G. Although slower CPU and not lollipop, the battery lasts more than the whole day. The Ricoh certified camera is also slower to launch and focus, but still captures good quality images.
Can't wait to get SH-03G. :)

How do the SH series (docomo) compare to their softbank equivalents (XXSH)? i used to have a sharp SH-09D zeta and the battery life sucked inaddition to a huge amount of bloat ware that kept hanging the phone and suck battery

I have also a 304SH which should be the direct equivalent of the sh-01G and generally softbank phones seem to have less bloat resulting in less lag and better battery. Battery will also last one whole day, especially in standby. Sharp also has very nice displays in general

Another concern is jap keitais are very behind on updating of software to keep up with the current android versions.

I used the Crystal X and its little sibling 305SH, still find the SH-01G's battery lasting longer and has better camera quality. Not sure about the SH-09D Zeta that you mentioned. The SH-01G also has better build quality than the Crystal series. The Crystals have such flimsy back covers. You are right about the bloat ware in the Docomo phones.

Yes... the updates. Just hope the Japanese can be more open about their phones.

thanks, how did you deal with the bloat problem? the good thing about docomo is it is a proper unlock, the softbank ones are software or unofficial unlocks which i have encountered sometimes compromise certain features like GPS and internet tethering?

Just disabled those that can be disabled. The rest just leave them. No issues. For GPS and internet tethering have no issues too. Were there ever??

For my old sh-09d sets, it took a very long time before u could acquire GPS lock. Also I think internet tethering was disabled by the DoCoMo as they have their own tethering app. Apparently so they can charge you for it.

For the softbank 304sh, it could not acquire GPS at all and similar to DoCoMo, it had softbank own tethering app

I don't think 304sh is equivalent to sh01g. the battery of the former is only decent to me while sh01g has the best standby as well as screen/display time among many great battery rated smartphones I used.

battery on sh01g is at least 1.5-2x better than crystal X. but the latter has the premium feel when holding it on the hand.
I'm in dilemma whether to sell my crystal X. too chio already thanks to the super thin bezels.

I was meaning equivalent as in the analogous model launched on softbank. I have noticed battery size is always bigger on the DoCoMo versions :p

I have no issues with GPS or tethering with SH-01G. Maybe they have decided to change. But the way I got my SH-01G from Lazada. Quite cheap.

SHARP should totally make a phone with SH-01G's battery size, the borderless display of Aquos X (with IGZO though, please) and the bloat-free software of SoftBank. My dream SHARP phone will be fulfilled. :s13:
