Seem like only two carriers fly the SIN-SZX

Silkair & Tiger

Alternatively, you can fly to HKG and make a land or ferry transfer to SZX.

SIN-HKG has more options.

not so sure about sin-hkg then to szx, i'll do this transfer if savings are significant, >$200.

I usually fly to HKG and do a ferry transfer.

Do a ferry transfer to either shekou or fuyong depends on which part of shenzhen you need to be.

The good thing about ferry transfer is that you do it within the airport and you don't have to worry about your baggage.

& by the way i try to book the hotel for zhuhai for next year Feb but mostly is not available for booking? Izzit becoz the period is too early or they are all really fully book?

it's not about taking risk. it's the compensation, with a bit extra $ to spend. my friend's flight was delayed, got compensated, baggage was delayed also got compensated, both by airline and travel insurance (not in singapore). he got about EUR800 compensation in all.

It's a huge risk to take given the Tiger's punctuality and fame for canceling flights.

If they cancel your flight, what are you going to do? Pray and hope they find you another one? What if they decided not to but just do a refund? You will be stuck at the airport, pay expensive tickets to get back home

or

you would want your insurance policy to cover such incidents? You can stay in a nice hotel, gets reimbursed, buy a ticket and get reimbursed?

It's a huge risk to take and insurance would cover all of that. The premium is not substantial anyway....

Silkair is a good choice for flying to SZ but it is not a daily flight. Tiger Airways is operating daily flights to SZ but the timing is RIDICULOUS. There's only 1 flight to SZ daily and it arrives in SZ at midnight.

What I normally do is I will take the SIN-HK route, and then charter a car or take the train to SZ. Ferry options are available too.

Yeah, the Tigerair departure flight to SZX is crazy.

I'm considering taking a cheap flight to:

HKG and transfer via Ferry-subway

or

CAN and transfer via subway-high speed rail-subway.

The other alternative is direct flight via SilkAir/SIA or Shenzhen Airlines/Air China and save all the trouble.

Even have promo, only one way promo price, valid certain dates only.
Come back so expensive, maybe 200 to 300 +

Apparently CX/KA doesn't fly to Shenzhen. Guess I'll go via MI or ZH.

Yeah I checked the mileage earning chart, Shenzhen Air (Fare Class V) and Silkair (Fare Class N) both earns 50% mileage to Krisflyer.

So it now comes down to price and timing (since both are direct flights).
