Can anyone advise on a good shop to get a decent HTPC that is powerful enough to play a few games if I get bored? - Basically a shop where the sales people work because they like computers, not because they needed a job...

My HTPC hould be small and silent, so passive cooling where possible.. something along the lines of i7-3770S, passive Geforce GT640, SSD system disk, 4TB 5700RPM HITACHI, passive power supply...

And a harmonized set of controllers.. or maybe a tablet.. to control the PC and TV...

Basically a system that I can use, lying in my bed, to watch movies, surf, and once in a while play a game... to be used with a 65" Panasonic TH-P65VT30.

IMO, overkill processor, and poor choice of GPU. if your Idea of HTPC is low profile, i'll recommend the Sapphire 7750. It's widely available and more economic. Also 4TB hard disk abit overkill also... :p just my 2c ;)

Well, I have not really looked at computers for a few years, so thats actually why I need a decent shop to put together the kind of PC I need ;)

I dont want to worry about the details.. I want a decent system, starting from a small and unobtrusive case, to balanced hardware and comfortable peripheral devices.

Any Idea where to go?

hmm, based on personal experience i would try Tradepac. but this being a HTPC and their cable management skills are not really refined, i would suggest u try PCthemes ;)

Also i would strongly recommend you get a HTPC parts recommendation by one of the more experienced bro's here, i would say they are more capable in churning out a comparable rig to those at SLS .. if not you will be spending unnecessary money on parts that you won't utilize.

If TS dont want to bother with details, then no need to start a thread here. Just slap 5 $1000 bill at pcthemes front desk and tell them your needs.
