I bought some stuff from a Guardian shop that has been opened for several months but my physical store purchase was not captured by Shopback.

I try to report to claim in Shopback, and was even able to find the exact store branch listed.

When I submit the receipt, I got the following "Store was not available when purchase was made." ....

Wa lau .... it is not like that shop is very new ....

Shopback has gotten back to me and informed me that the branch I went to

"does not provide any return Cashbacks".

So even if most Guardian pharmacy comes under Cashback scheme, not all participate in the scheme.

However, as a goodwill gesture, they decided to manually credit the cashback to me as a one-off.....

Anyone successfully managed to use GXS too? ie ShopBack to Grab to GXS, though have to see default in all the app since no option is presented to change payment on the fly.

Even after setting as default, it will still use the last use option payment; so the trick is after scan SB QR code, when at the payment amount page just before submit , click on the card/option shown ( near bottom right ) and choose your choice of card ; thereafter that will be your default for in-shop payments.

But I did look into detail before payment but I didn’t see the option of grab pay. (Grabpay is setup as one of the payment method).

Ya. This is how it works for ShopBack. I encounter the same issue when I forget to change the card option and they use the card which I last used.

One of the food stalls I usually patronise stopped accepting ShopBack. Seems that there I no way for me to redeem the cash back. For fave, they will credit the cash back in the wallet for subsequent payment with favepay at any merchant. However, it is not the case for ShopBack. Anyone has luck in getting the cash back for such case?

Shopback is only credited back to the same merchant like fave ?

I have encountered a few times in fave where the Cashback was not credited to the main pool even though I received email from them. But amount is small so I didn’t persue.

What I mean is that one will not get the last cashback if there is no subsequent purchase from the merchant. For my case, the stall does not accept ShopBack now so technically, the cashback can never be realised.
