Short Beep when Starting Computer

Hi guys,

Recently, when I on my computer, there will be a single short beep(Does not happen). My screen will be black and the monitor will display that it is going to sleeping mode. However my cpu is still running and there will be the sound of the windows starting.

I thought it was my HDMI cable connecting the monitor to my cpu, however that is not the problem.

I have a feeling it is my motherboard issue and might need to change it.

Can I get some of your professional feedbacks?

It happened to my pc too.

It turned out to be the graphic port on my MB faulty. After using a graphic card, it is ok.

But 1st, confirm your cable & monitor is alright by connecting a lappy to it.

Which one got problem? Motherboard graphics slot or graphics card?

It turned out to be the graphic port on my MB faulty. After using a graphic card, it is ok.

whenever my pc give me problem when starting, I always open up the casing, ( u must touch your pc casing to discard your static charge) , remove the ram ( remember which side it face ), use a eraser to clean the metal contact, clean away the rubber residue and put back. It always work for me. It only take 5 min to test and U can try it out.

It should be something to do with your graphic card or its connection. Check that your cable is connected securely to the graphic port. If you are using the onboard graphic card, it might be faul. Just get a graphic card should solve the problem
