Hi guys, would appreciate some advice on my life, its kinda long, but I rly hope someone can help. Here's a summary:

-Did badly for A levels, had pretty bad hearing issues.

-Went to work for 3 years in the design industry, didn't design, but was more of a coordinator.

-Did surgery for my hearing (2018), got back some sense of hearing.

-Enroled myself into one of the arts school (2019) but I had to start from diploma course as I had no portfolio to directly enter degree course. Had to start everything from scratch. I passed my As tho, could go private unis like SIM etc but I somehow wanted to try design.

So now, 3+ months into the diploma, I'm still in my foundation semester, and currently feel like I do not enjoy what I do. The transition from work where I had so much freedom, to art school, is crazy and I really dread the homework. I have not touched my major (interior design) yet tho, that's why was kind of hesitant to give up earlier on.

But I will only touch my major in the next sem. Currently based on the foundation modules, most of the time I feel dread doing the homework. I feel like I have no patience to sit there and slowly draw etc.. I don't know if it will be any better in my major or not, but I'm guessing not. According to my seniors, foundation sem is the honeymoon period. And tbh, I alr feel like it's hell.

I have no passion or anything in life, and I don't know what I want for a career either. Should I just give up on this course? I did think of changing to RMIT comms or marketing or smth.. But will my hearing affect the career prospects or anything in the comms line? Also kinda hesitant to study marketing because of stats. Have not done math or anything in about 7+ years. Also, I forgot to mention that talking to clients scares the hell out of me... I think I might have somehow developed insecurities during my extreme hearing loss years. This is also one reason why I chose to study design initially.

I do get some comments from family members saying I'm lazy for not being enthusiastic about my course, like, they don't understand my dread. I don't think this is simple laziness tho.. Its hard to explain. My procrastination and poor time management actually stems from my lack of passion/dread in doing the homework. Also I've been sleeping at like 3 - 4am on weekdays because of workload/poor time management. It's really draining.

I also feel rly bad coz of my age and my parents age. I kinda just really wanna graduate ASAP. Staying on is an option, but it's really really tiring. I didn't even feel this much stress and discomfort during A levels.

Please advice if I should leave thanks :'(
