Should I get a new laptop?

I got the Lenovo Yoga 910 about 8 months ago. However, I did not think that I would game on it. As it turns out, I now play Fortnite frequently on it, and it gets hot and the graphics are quite poor. So I was thinking whether or not to get a gaming laptop, preferably an MSI GP63 8RE. Should I buy or not buy, and if I buy when should I buy it? Main uses: Gaming and Schoolwork. Trying to keep a $2500ish budget

You have to ask yourself how much $$$ you have.

sell the lenovo and upgrade to the cheapest laptop with gtx1060. dell g-series or aftershock MX should be below 2k

be prepared to take a hit of 30-40% on the used laptop price
