Like the thread title. I have order from Apple 2x Iphone6plus/16gb/Silver. But it will only come 2-3weeks from now. Looking at the market price now, don't seems promising. What you guys think? Should i continue to wait or just cancel it?

ps: I aim to sell only.

Maybe many sellers dump and go. So price soften.
But if hold too long, more sellers, may drop further.
Just make lesser loh.

Just now pass by a ah beng dealer asking walk in customer keen with ip6. They got a few pcs in the shop

Keep for personal use, after 22nd there will be much more countries churning out iPhones. 2 weeks later probably Apple Store SG will start accepting new orders... By then who wants to pay more than retail for your phones?

Currently it looks as though stocks for the 6+ will be low till at least end of the year. I would just keep it if i were you. Worst case senario, you can still sell at retail and you don't lose any money. So why not give it a shot?

Supply low does not mean interest is still high till people willing to pay high price or even retail price.. No point keeping it seriously. It is hello kitty craze equivalent now.. Fever will die down

打铁趁热. People go crazy with the iPhone6+ because they want to be the "elite" group of owning one at launch. If you are a gamer equipping a iPhone6+ gives you better stats like CHAR+10, EGO+20 :D

After 3 weeks this fever will die down, iPhones no longer the "in" thing. When that happens those who have waited for 3 weeks would have settled down and no longer so desperate to own one... Waited for 3 weeks whats wrong to wait for another 3 weeks to get one from Apple Store? Probably there are still people who are willing to pay at higher price than RRP but your profit will not be as good as now.

Don't worry, you can watch the prices until it's preparing for shipment which will probably be only 3 more days till you receive it, but honestly, I think at most sell at retail even if you get it really late.

Get points for CC purchase lo, better than nothing.

iPhone 6+ is still more sought after than iPhone 6. Walk around TPY central, many dealers still take in the 6+.

Apple + new phablet size = commodity

With more positive reviews that come up over the following weeks (especially over practical usage parameters like better batt life), you can expect demand to maintain or even increase. Furthermore, many peeps view the iPhone 6+ as an iPhone and iPad Mini all rolled into one. I'm pretty sure many are ditching their tablets after getting the iPhone 6+, and many ex-apple users who had transited to Note 1/2/3 and other Android phablets due to the bigger screens will want to transit back due to the bigger screen AND useability that IOS offers.

Another trend that takes similarity to the release last year...

Demand for 6+ is akin to that of the 5S
Demand for 6 is akin to that of the 5C (though of course NOT as bad as the 5C)

At the very very worst case, I'm pretty sure u'll still be assured of a couple of hundred of dollars margin 3 weeks later when you flip the phones, albeit a lower margin. But who knows, some TPY dealers I'd spoken to today claim resale prices may even creep up once the current global batch is lapped up.

Bottomline, a few hundred dollars margin is still better than nothing right? :)

PS: And kudos to you for being honest about flipping the phones for profit :)

from my experience in flipping collectible items, I come to know from experience that limited edition releases tend to fetch the highest price during the first few days of release... that is when everyone is talking about it and the urge to own one is at the highest. After a while people will lose interest and focus their attention to something else.

note that these collectible items are one-off releases... 1,000 worldwide release means 1,000. iPhone6's demand is riding on hype and desperation especially for buyers who is not in the 1st wave of release. However iPhones are not limited editions, Foxconn produce 140,000 iPhone 6+ every day so in a very short time Apple will be able to maintain healthy stock levels to launch the new iPhones to more countries.

ask yourself: if Apple Store SG allows people to buy iPhones online after 3 weeks, and the projected delivery time is 7 days... who wants to buy your iPhone6+ at an inflated price? Remember, Apple is still busy churning out millions of iPhones everyday, it is not like a Tsunami hits China and production halts.

Not price drop. I sold 1 128gb for $2500 on 19 Sep, 1 for $2300 on 20 Sep. Today sold 1 for $2200.....Every few days drop a bit. End of 3 weeks maybe can sell at $1600. Difficult to speculate.

Not worth for a few bucks, personally I won't be bothered if the profit is less than $100.
My time, my effort to find buyers, transportation cost etc... $100 is too little.

See how's market demand next week, if demand is low better cancel it. Next Friday there will be 20 countries launching iPhone 6 and I highly doubt your 3-weeks-old set will worth anything more than its retail price. Don't forget HK and SG launch alone already flooded China with so many iPhones... having 20 more countries doing the same thing will not have any good outcome. :)

Demand will still be strong. Just that ppl will not pay like more than $200 or $300 retail price for it. Stocks will still be low. Those who wants to recontract for the new phones, would already have done so or waiting for their time. Left those non-contract who wanted to buy, but can't due to low stock.

Base on previous iPhones demand in SG, low stock at least for 2-3 months. Can't sell for huge profit, but at least won't make a loss definitely.
