Should I upgrade my GPU?

With Lazada birthday celebration with discounts and all, I would like some advice on whether should I take this time to upgrade my current graphic card.

I am using a MSI R9 270X 2GB and running a 1080p 144hz monitor.

I am playing games such as NieR: Automata (lowest setting possible), Dota and CSGO.

For NieR, I am running on 1920 x 1080 on windowed and my frame rates will drop really hard on huge maps. Also, sometimes in game my screen would show up some artifacts like a cluster of mini squares on some parts of the screen, you can refer to the pictures below (only have pictures for NieR but it does happen in Dota too).

Should I upgrade to a GTX 1060? Did some reading and people said that is sufficient for 1080p 144 hz.

cos i heard NiER is badly port over, but still playable.

next for the 1st pic did it affect your other game as well?

lastly would think that u get 1070 for your monitor. 1060 is fine unless u playing that 3 games u playing.

Dota have this issue actually. Sometimes my dota will freeze for 1 second and auto tabbed me out of the game and I can't jump back in. I have to force end my Dota and rerun it. Not sure whether its software or hardware related.

It doesn't really affect my games but is it normal for it to be like that?

Sometimes, it get really bizarre and it ends up like the following. I have to either move my camera around until it goes away or go to another area.

Also, the cluster of mini squares I get while playing dota is something like the following.

May I ask, why would a 1070 be good for my monitor?

seems like really need to change gpu lei. well if u only play those games dota and cs go, 1060 should be good enough but other AAA graphic intesive games den u can consider up your budget for 1070.

1080p 144hz is better to use a gtx 1070 or gtx 1080.

Pascal architecture are almost the same for all due to voltage lock from Nvidia. So whichever brand is fine. As long the budget, aesthetic, noise lvl is okay with you will do.

get palit since there is a lazada sales today for them. but best u can check if how much zotac is selling and compare to see which one fits your budget.

For now, ya. Below 500 gtx 1070 is considered very good pricing already. BTW, choose free shipping. It's the same as the paid one anyway. Safe couple of bucks for a coffee also shiok

Ya but not the lowest. Seen 509 price before, stack discount become 479. That's the best I seen so far. Current one 539, discount 50, priced at 489 with delivery is not too shabby too.
